Ravi, Founder at myUDAAN is a Person with a disability and above that, a very good friend People think being friends with someone with a disability is special, that not everyone can do it or it is something to be proud of. This is a fallacy no one is a hero for being friends with someone with a disability.
Being friends with a person with a disability isn’t something that should be different or special. It should be the same as being friends with anyone else. Because in many ways, it is the same. People with disabilities are just like everyone else.
I am now more knowledgeable, patient and non judgmental
Being friends with someone with a disability doesn’t mean you are a good person, but it can improvise you as a human being. I realize now how people with disabilities are often wrongly overlooked. Because of my friendship with people with disabilities, I am now more knowledgeable, patient and nonjudgmental.
